Dr. Ronald Glossop is Professor Emeritus of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE) where he taught philosophy & inter-disciplinary courses for 35 years and served as Coordinator of the Peace Studies Program for 25 years. He is author of Confronting War (4th ed. 2001) and World Federation? (1994) as well as Philosophy: An Introduction to its Problems and Vocabulary (1974) plus over 50 professional articles. Ron has served as Chair of the St. Louis chapter of the World Federalist Association (WFA)/Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS) of Greater St. Louis since 1970. He was Vice-President of WFA 1998-2003 and has been a national board member of WFA/CGS off and on for over 3 decades. He is also President of the American Association of Teachers of Esperanto and Director of the Esperanto organization called "Children around the World” in English.
